Pony Awards
For
Excellence In Dressage

Pony riders of all ages have the opportunity to be recognized for achievement in dressage by competing at selected USDF dressage shows in Region 3 each year. The Through Connection Ltd. Pony Awards for Excellence in Dressage will be given to the high-scoring ponies ridden by a child and by an adult amateur at each of the selected shows. At the end of the season, a perpetual trophy and individual awards will be presented to the child and the adult amateur riders of ponies who achieved the highest average scores for the season from at least two of the selected competitions and from at least two judges. To qualify for the awards, the pony must meet the USAEq Dressage Art. 1934 definition of pony and scores must be at least 60%.

The award program is sponsored by Nancy Ferebee, PhD, the owner of Through Connection Ltd, which stands the German Riding Pony stallions Benno's Dream, FS Daily Hero, and Chicco B. The goals of this program are first, to support the development of dressage skills and talent in pony riders and their ponies and second, to promote support for annual North American FEI Pony Championships.
