Chicco B
is an extraordinarily beautiful imported
German Riding Pony stallion with extravagant gaits and exceptional
athleticism. He is a well-proportioned, modern stallion with charm,
elegance, and an intelligent and kind disposition. His dressage trainer,
Sandy
Osborn (www.SandyOsbornDressage.com)
who is a Gold Medalist and R judge describes him as "the most supple and
elastic horse I have ever ridden, 3 exceptionally good gaits with
outstanding lengthenings in both trot and canter … an outstanding FEI
horse with no limits. He possesses an exceptionally good character."
Jumping is natural and effortless. This talent combines with a powerful
hindquarter that provides easy scope and stride. His German Grand Prix
show jumping trainer believes that in Germany he would easily qualify
for the German Pony Show Jumping Team (4’3”). Chicco’s personality and
beauty draw people to him. He loves to be involved as the center of
attention. Everyone who sees him under saddle comments on the
extraordinary quality of his gaits. With his special sensitivity to a
rider’s or handler’s thoughts, he will collect and extend his gaits with
an almost imperceptible request.
Chicco B
reflects his breeder’s 40 plus years of vision, consolidating a
diversity of bloodline strengths into a line that produces a reliable
type. His pedigree combines ancient bloodlines of with more modern sport
pony influences. Chicco’s sire Chantre B won his stallion koerung and 30
day stallion test (scoring 8.9, including 10’s on character and
jumping). He has many licensed sons and state premium daughters and
several winners of the Bundeschampionat. Chicco’s 3/4 sibling won the
Bundeschampionat 4 year old stallion class. Judges described that
stallion as “charming”, awarding him “9.5” for trot and “10” for his
“textbook canter…such scope and engagement”. He also won his 30 day
stallion test. Chicco’s half-sib won the Bundeschampionat twice.
His State Premium dam won the Westphalia Elitemare Show twice, the
Bundeschampionat bronze medal, and her mare test with a score of 8.33.
She produced another licensed stallion and premium daughters. Chicco’s
bloodlines have many stories to tell. His pedigree is a
history of breeding, truly dating back to prehistoric times with a Przewalski
horse saved from extinction by the Germans, to several centuries-old
Arabian lines (Middle Eastern, Russian, Polish and English), to a rarely
found Trakhener used for improving jumping talent, to several Welsh, to
the beautiful British Riding Pony Catherston Night Safe and then to one
of the first of the German Riding Pony prepotent sires known for his
small size, jumping talent and disposition. Contrasted with this
hybrid vigor is the fixed type his breeder reliably produces.
