Chicco B is a young German Riding Pony stallion with charm, elegance, intelligence and athleticism. He is well-proportioned and his gaits are correct, powerful and elastic. He attracts attention from all who see him, including comments on his extraordinary gaits, beauty and charisma. Imported as a yearling from Westphalia, Germany, Chicco B continues to fulfill the goal of his breeder's program to develop a refined, strong, intelligent, beautiful and athletic sportpony. Chicco B's pedigree combines the very old bloodlines of the breeder's mares with the more modern sportpony influences of the sire. His pedigree is a history of breeding, dating back to prehistoric times with a Przewalski horse saved from extinction by the Germans, to several centuries-old Arabian lines (Middle Eastern, Russian, Polish and English), to a rarely found Trakhener used for improving jumping talent, to several Welsh, to the beautiful British Riding Pony Catherston Night Safe and then to one of the first of the German Riding Pony prepotent sires known for his small size, jumping talent and disposition. Contrasted with this hybrid vigor is the fixed type his breeder reliably produces. Chicco B's sire, Chantre B, won his stallion koerung and then went on to win his 30 day stallion test with a score of 8.9, including 10's on character and free jumping. This sire has produced multiple licensed sons and state premium daughters and several winners of the German Bundeschampionat, including Chicco B's ¾ sibling who won the 4 year old stallion class in the 2003 Bundeschampionat and also won his 30 day stallion performance test. At the Bundeschampionat, that stallion was described as "charming" and received a 9.5 for trot and "10" for his "textbook canter…such scope and engagement". Chicco B possesses the same extraordinary canter and expressive trot. Chicco B's ½ sibling by Chantre B won the 2003 3 year old mare/gelding class and the 2004 4 year old class as well. Chicco B's State Premium dam twice won the Westphalia Elitemare Show, was a bronze medal winner of the Bundeschampionat and was the winner of her mare test scoring 8.33. Foals by Chicco B have been praised for their wonderful temperament and beauty. A veterinarian described a filly as the easiest foal she has ever had the pleasure of working with, with a great disposition, calmness and friendly personality. A breeder was fascinated with how her filly looked up and into the eyes of her humans and laughingly said that the only way she gets visitors is if they can spend time being with the filly.
